6. A Timer – Any simple kitchen timer or timing device will do

You can also use a watch with an alarm.That’s really it. You don’t need anything else, except for a
focused positive trainer. That would be YOU!
Start Up
The air should be charged with enthusiasm by now!  Your spouse and other children have gone, each one telling your young child excitedly what a great time he’s going to have.
He can see the drinks and treats on the counter, and a brand
new pack of “big boy” or “big girl” pants.
At this point you officially start the five hour session.  Get the doll or bear or any stuffed animal and put a pair of potty training pants on the animal. We used three bears and a donkey, all with training pants on.  Camden kept running back to his bed to
get more animals, and I kept supplying the training pants.The child helps put the pants on.

Note – it doesn’t matter if the pants fit, we had all sizes of animals!  lt’s the modeling and your response to the doll or bear going potty that’s important.  Use a
bear or doll that the child likes.  l’II use “bear” in this chapter but remember that you can use whatever the child has.

After the bear has the pants on, he suddenly needs to go potty.Have the child help take the training pants off the bear, and place the bear on the potty. The

Emotional Response

After the bear goes potty, you and the child slip the pants back on (very quickly), as you celebrate and reward the bear for his behavior. “Good Job Bear!  You went Potty!”  Give the bear a big hug, do a little dance, whoop and holler.  Have the child give the bear a treat from the counter (and then the child eats the treat).  Have
